Edgar Alan Jones
The sea is my solace I shall not wait

The sea is my solace I shall not wait
For she is my mistress and companion
While the world of man
My heart in foolish squalor did berate,
For he was unkind
From bastion to brother
And my honest love in betrayal he did sate.
The sea is my solace I shall not wait
For she knows no enemies,
No animosity or the entrails of hate,
And I have gathered
All the faithful foot soldiers of fate,
To carry me forth
Upon the shores of her heavenly gate
And to greet me as a King and loyal servant
For the sea is my solace I shall not wait.
